WHAT HAPPENED?
Alba played for Barcelona between 2012-23 and was at the club when Yamal made his debut, aged 15. He has advised the youngster to keep "learning and listening".

WHAT ALBA SAID
Alba said via Mundo Deportivo: "He debuted with us with Barcelona and I think he was 15 years old. He already looked like a different player, but the physical change he has made these last two years has made him a differential player. What he is doing is incredible. He is among the candidates to win the Ballon d'Or. [He must] Keep going, improving, learning, and listening to people who understand this. I hope he does great. It's amazing to watch him play."

Yamal claimed this week that he is "just getting started" after brilliantly scoring in the 2-0 win over Espanyol that sealed the La Liga title. He has scored 17 goals and assisted 25 in 53 appearances this season.
