WHAT HAPPENED?
The Wrexham striker feared for his life following the challenge with the United stopper in the summer of 2023 in a pre-season clash. While Mullin recovered from the injury after a few weeks on the sidelines, Bishop, who received a yellow card for the challenge, is no longer at the Red Devils. So what happened to the 6ft 1in keeper?

WHO IS NATHAN BISHOP?
First off, Bishop began his career at Southend United, before attracting the attention of United. The Hillingdon-born player swapped the Shrimpers for the Red Devils on a two-and-a-half-year deal in January 2020 when he was just 20, but he would never make a first-team appearance for the club. Arguably the most telling contribution Bishop, who had a successful loan spell at Mansfield Town in League Two in 2021/22, made at United was his unfortunate collision with Mullin – something he apologised for.

WHERE IS MAN UTD GOALKEEPER NOW?
Less than a week on from that incident, the former England under-20 international signed for Championship side Sunderland on a three-year contract. To date, he has only played once for the north east outfit, with Anthony Patterson the club's first-choice keeper.
